I read the news today, oh boy

Blame it on the Beatles. My love affair with England started in the 1960s with the British Invasion. I didn't know it then, but the influence of British movies, movie stars, music, BBC TV, fashion, customs, history, architecture, art, and media became a lifetime obsession.

The fact that I've researched my own British ancestry, as well as the ancestries for hundreds of clients, makes England feel like home to me. Of course I'd jump at the change to travel there on a moments notice.

However, my recent trip convinced me the climate and humidity do not agree with my Rheumatoid Arthritis. As much as I enjoyed the trip, it was very, very painful.

While walking my feet off, I did get to see many of the traditional hightlights of London. I loved photographing each one. Among the places of interest were:

The Tower of London dwarfed by the city

Tower Bridge from River

The Parliament Building

St. Paul's Cathedral

Buckingham Palace

The River Thames

The London Eye from Westminster Bridge

Big Ben

Prince Albert Memorial

Royal Albert Hall

A Day in the Life

"I read the news today, oh boy
Four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire
And though the holes were rather small
They had to count them all
Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall
I'd love to turn you on "

~~The Beatles~~

Great photos! I also get very achey in damp weather - which is a lot of the time.
Blackburn is about ten miles from where I was born and bred in Lancashire.

Oh how I love The Beatles! The photos are absolutely incredible. One day when I can stomach the flight...
