My best friend went to her final rest on Friday, April 9, 2010. Twelve-year-old Annie, a Labusky by breed, had suffered from a bladder tumor for six months. She is now running free, through cold mountain streams, eating a T-Bone steaks at every meal. No more baths or shavings. No more pain. No more cats! We miss her terribly. There is an empty hole in our hearts and in our home.
She answered to Annie, but we also called her Best Girl, Annie-Banannie, and Baby. We rescued her when she was three, so we don't know what she was called before that.
She was the best dog in the whole world. Kind, loyal, gentle, curious, happy and very patient. She loved life and eating--pizza was her favorite. But she also enjoyed licking out ice cream cartons and sneaking the cats' food.
Going for rides and walks were her favorite activities. And she loved coming home. She liked having the whole family around her, watching TV, while she chewed a juicy bone.
Our lives are forever changed by a yellow and white furry creature with velvet ears and doe eyes.
Rest in peace, dear friend.

So sorry Sheri, for your loss of Annie.

I hope she meets our two beloved dogs - Havoc - left me in the fifties and Jock left us in the eighties. Both often remembered with much love.
Sincere condolences.
I'm sorry about Annie. But now Olive has a new pet. We remember our dog, Peaches, with lots of love. Even the grandkids who never knew her think of her as some long-lost family member that we'll meet up with someday. I hope your memories melt away the loneliness.
