I've been in London for almost a week now and will be home on November 10. Our hotel room has WiFi (free wireless Internet), but none of the electrical outlets work, so I couldn't use my laptop cord to power my computer nor could I charge my computer battery. Therefore, I've only emailed home and haven't been able to blog.
Tonight I decided to forgo tea at the Ritz so that I could charge my computer in the hotel bar, enabling me to write a quick blog and read a few others.
Weather here has been drizzly, drippy and dreary (the weather channel's words for it). It's hard to find anyone who speaks English here in London anymore. The middle eastern languages are by far the most common, sprinkled with French, German, Italian plus Eastern European and Asian languages. This is truly the melting pot of the world.
The city is much dirtier than I remember from ten years ago. Is it my perspective or is it London? So much has changed since Nine-Eleven.

Sounds like great fun, even with the rain. Looking forward to more when you return!
I'm so glad you're in London! Although it's usually exhausting, it's always restorative, too. Have fun and make wonderful memories.
I left out a word...I meant to say travel is sometimes exhausting. Sorry. I'm exhausted (and I'm not even anywhere cool.)
oh fun London. that makes me sad that it seems dirtier. Can't wait to hear more about it.
Ah...the tube to Nottinghill. How lovely for you!
I too was surprised how dirty the city had become on my last visit - due to the lack of public trash cans for fear they would be used as bomb receptacles by terrorists. Very sad.
Enjoy an amazing, brilliant time! I'm eager to read abbut your adventures!
